Workshop: Plants & Pitchers in Miniature
Saturday, March 22nd from 9:30am - 12:00pm In this 2.5 hour workshop for adults, you’ll learn how to make miniature plants and pitchers using simple craft materials and household objects. These tiny decor items are cute additions to a bookshelf, top of a door hinge, or in the context of a miniature scene or vignette (like what you can create in our "Make a Miniature Vignette" course!). Taught by artist and miniaturist Erica Meade (@minihouseontheline), this workshop will include an overview of miniature art forms and step-by-step instructions on how to make each of the items shown, with a focus on teaching techniques you can apply to your own future creations. This class is appropriate for both beginners and advanced crafters. Please bring a small pair of sharp scissors. All other materials will be provided. Don't forget to check out Erica's next class: Making a Miniature Vignette. $75 / class |

Art for Everybody: Hands on Painting Workshop
Considering Painting: Surprising Compositions and Color Stories Saturday, April 19th from 9:00am - 12:00pm Jessica Niello-White's second workshop in which we consider unexpected visual turns within a painting that results in novel and innovative art. We will explore perspective, composition and color combinations to create our own original take on the classics. An example of this is the painting The Red Studio, by Henri Matisse. Here he plays with the illusion of space, turns it on its head through the use of color. Instead of following the classical rules of perspective to show space, he instead chooses a bold, flat red to surprise the viewer in the way we see the room. Each student will complete a painting by the end of the workshop. Oil or acrylic painters are both welcome. A basic understanding of the chosen medium is required. $125 / class |

Final dimensions approx. 7.75” tall x 6” wide x 3.7” deep.
